Fukushima, Japan, was, is, and always will be, close to heart.

For many years before March 11, 2011, I visited almost every season. The mountain region of Fukushima is perhaps one of the most beautiful areas in Japan, embraced by pristine lakes, ponds, and waterfalls.

 

All photographs were captured on manual film cameras, in both 135mm and medium format. From spring to fall, nature blossomed in colors and I was in awe. Hours slipped by without knowing. Each moment was a purification.
